[None of this was making sense to him. How he was able to enter dreams in the first place... and just why had that one dream hurt so much? And why did Hypnos hate him so much, aside from the fact that he was human?]

[He didn't have answers, just more questions. He sighed and lay back against his pillows, staring at the ceiling.]

Yue had answers to a couple of them, and so she would answer, sitting down on the other bed. How to phrase this...how to phrase it...hn.

"...Isamu..."

He looked over at Yue, smiling slightly, though it was more tired than anything.

"... Yes?"

"How are you holding up?" He'd been through a lot in such a short time...it was natural to be worried.

"I'm..." 'Fine' wasn't the word here, really.

"I'll survive." That's the best they could hope for in their line of work, wasn't it?

Indeed, but...Yue sighed.

"...Set told me what happened with Hypnos. I'm...betting you don't know why he...attacked you as such, do you?"

"Besides the fact that I'm human? ... No."

Isamu shook his head, and sighed. "He... seems to particularly hate me, and I don't know why."

"Because of your arcana." Yue sighed, running a hand through her hair.

"...From what I've seen and pieced together...something happened to Thanatos that drove Hypnos insane. He has been...trying to bring about the Fall of humanity in their world, according to the plan of their mother, Nyx. The universe arcana...is what can seal away Nyx and stop the fall."

"... So he hates me because I can... oh."

Isamu ran a hand through his hair. "I... suppose that makes sense... though I don't know how I would..."

That answered one question, at least. But...

"Yue? I'm... scared. I don't know what all of this is going to end up like... and I'm worried that I'm..."

Going to leave you. Going to scare you. Going to not be able to tell the difference between dreams and reality anymore.

She just reaches over, pulling him into a hug. He wasn't the only one who was scared.

"I know. It..." Yue swallows. How would it be alright? He was--"It'll work out somehow."

Isamu hugs her tightly, resting his head on her shoulder.

"I hope so. I... just want to do the right thing..."
