DR Side Thread: Struggling Between

He thought he had this under control. He thought he had worked out a system to keep those kinds of dreams to a minimum.

Apparently not.

Isamu snaps awake in the middle of the night, jolted out of his nightmare from the sound of his own screaming. He presses his hands to his face as he sits up, images of blood and shadows and pain flashing through his mind.

... Why won't this stop?

[He sits nearby, rubbing circles on Isamu's back while looking the other way- quite fail at comforting others.]

... But why was I in the bathroom? [From that description, it sounds almost like he tried to kill himself. .. Blink.]

I... I'm not sure. Everyone was stuffed into Yue's room... the residential area of Home III was completely ripped apart. Pillows and furniture had been completely trashed, like someone was looking for something and didn't care how messy they left things.

He takes in a breath.] ... Don't strain yourself thinking about it.

[He nods, and just... hugs his pillow. He has a feeling he knows who they were looking for, anyway.]

[He offers a hug before pulling back and making a move to stand up.] You want to try going back to sleep again..?

[A nod and the hand goes to the back of his own head.] Yup, no problem. I'll just wait till you fall asleep and judging from where things go, I'll let myself out.

[He nods, and just... tries to snuggle back under the covers. Sob, not really looking forward to more nightmares...]

[He takes a seat by the bed and watches for a few minutes before realizing this really isn't gonna work. He fumbles with his visor.]

... Hey c'mon- nothing's gonna happen, you can sleep.

... I know. It's... just a dream.

[At least tries closing his eyes. He still feels vaguely sick, but isn't in immediate danger of throwing up at least.]
