Part 1: The Basics

Arisato Isamu, written as '有里勇'.

2. Where and when were you born?
Inaba, January 25th.

3. Who are/were your parents? (Know their names, occupations, personalities, etc.)
Arisato Minato and Hanamura Yosuke. They're both Demon Busters, and they're both still active, though not as much as before. Father (what I call Minato) is... quiet. He has a good sense of humor, but he doesn't tend to show it to strangers. Dad (what I call Yosuke) is... excitable. Very excitable. Sometimes he acts younger than I do, honestly...

4. Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like?
Yue. She's... I love her, but do not piss her off when she's wearing her Abyss Gloves. I mean it.

5. Where do you live now, and with whom? Describe the place and the person/people.
My parents live in Inaba still, and I live... well. I used to have a room I rented in Home III, but I tend to crash wherever nowadays. I've taken to sleeping in the park in Protopia a lot, actually... it's peaceful.

6. What is your occupation?
C-class Demon Buster.

5'7", and my weight is... I haven't weighed myself in a while, but I'm skinny. My hair is blue and shaggy (and yes, that's natural)... my eyes are greyish-blue. I don't have any scars or tattoos... or any other 'distinguishing marks', really.

... Though Odette would probably say something like "he always looks gay".

8. To which social class do you belong?
Middle class, I suppose? Most of the money I make goes to repairs, equipment, and healing items...

9. Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses?
No allergies as far as I know, and as for physical weaknesses... I'm not terribly speedy, so I suppose that counts? I'm a melee-class fighter, mostly... so I try to minimize my physical weaknesses.

10. Are you right- or left-handed?
Right-handed for fighting, mostly, but I can actually shoot left-handed in a pinch.

11. What does your voice sound like?
Ah... generally soft, I suppose. My vocal range is... medium-low, I guess? Just don't ask me to speak English, my Japanese accent comes through loud and clear.

Lately, though, when I'm extremely angry, my voice has a tendency to echo. It's... well, it frightens me.

12. What words and/or phrases do you use very frequently?
Hm. Probably something like "... Sorry." or "Are you all right?" Boring, yes...

13. What do you have in your pockets?
I keep a supply of High-Grade Ointments, Jewels (for my demons), spare bullets, a few Chakra Candies, and at least one spare weapon in my COMP. As for in my physical pockets?

... Nothing, usually. My hands sometimes.

14. Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics?
I have a habit of falling asleep almost anywhere, actually...

Part 2: Growing Up

15. How would you describe your childhood in general?
It was... nice, for the most part. Father and Dad decided that they wanted to raise their children outside of Tokyo, so Yue and I were raised in Inaba. It's quiet... not busy like Shinjuku Babel is.

... It's kind of like Souhonzan, though it's functionally Neutral, I think.

16. What is your earliest memory?
My earliest clear memory? ... That thunderstorm when I was little where the tree fell on the roof over my room... and then climbing into Yue's bed.

17. How much schooling have you had?
I've gone through high school, and I considered university... I never ended up going, though. Helping people's more important. I did do a lot of studying on my own, though, or with Father.

18. Did you enjoy school?
... I didn't hate the classes, but I wasn't that fond of the other students.

19. Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities?
Most of what I learned was on-the-job, as needed. I suppose more of my physical abilities come from Dad while the tendency to switch things up comes from Father.

... Though even though I'm not a gunner, I seem to have inherited what Yue sometimes calls Dad's 'ninja skills'... I really should not have been in Ueno when I was just starting out.

20. While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them.
Father, most definitely. Yue too... as well as Dad, I suppose.

21. While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family?
I got along with them very well. I seem to get along more with Father than Dad, though.

22. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Actually? I wanted to be a doctor for demons. I... might do that when I retire from demon busting. If I retire.

23. As a child, what were your favorite activities?
Reading and sleeping. Watching the demons in the fields. Stargazing. Studying. Playing with Yue.

24. As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display?
Quiet. Easily scared, actually. I was hesitant to venture too far away from home without someone else there.

25. As a child, were you popular? Who were your friends, and what were they like?
... Not really, no. I barely spoke to anyone at school. I mostly talked to Yue.

26. When and with whom was your first kiss?
On the lips? It... hasn't technically happened yet.

Yes, I am.

I'm not really that supernatural. I'm actually pretty terrible at magic. I suppose the only really supernatural thing about me is the side effects from the arcana I am - Universe. That... I inherited from Father. I can dreamwalk on occasion, but I try not to do it too often... I also dream about the future, sometimes.

Part 3: Past Influences

29. What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?
So far? Ah... becoming a Demon Buster, I suppose?

30. Who has had the most influence on you?
My parents, and my sister.

31. What do you consider your greatest achievement?
So far? Becoming a Demon Buster. Ever? ... I'm not sure I've reached it yet.

32. What is your greatest regret?
... I'm not sure.

33. What is the most evil thing you have ever done?
I'm not sure I've... really done anything that qualifies for it.

34. Do you have a criminal record of any kind?
I highly doubt it.

35. When was the time you were the most frightened?
... I get frightened a lot, actually. I... the other day I was extremely frightened... the Templar wouldn't let me down to the Home II site with the others, and I had to watch them being knocked unconscious... and I couldn't do anything...

And I dragged Colme there, and I feel terrible about that.

36. What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you?
... Getting caught wearing pink armor is probably high on the list.

37. If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why?
... A good number of things, but nothing that would... really be worth changing. I could give you a cheap answer here but... right now I wouldn't really change much of anything. My past is what's made me who I am.

38. What is your best memory?
I... have a lot of good memories. I don't know which I would pick.

39. What is your worst memory?
I... have nightmares sometimes, which tend to be... the worst parts of various memories. So I'm not sure... they jumble together sometimes.

Part 4: Beliefs And Opinions

40. Are you basically optimistic or pessimistic?
I try to be optimistic... at least around other people. Pessimism isn't that helpful, so I try not to be pessimistic very often... sometimes I can't really help it, though.

41. What is your greatest fear?
I... something bad or horrible happening to the people or demons I love. Yeah, that's vague, but...

42. What are your religious views?
I'm... going to have to respectfully decline to answer this question.

43. What are your political views?
Politics doesn't really concern me that much - I hope that people can compromise, but I'm not sure that's realistic...

44. What are your views on sex?
... Do what you want as long as you don't hurt anyone? That goes for most things, really...

45. Are you able to kill? Under what circumstances do you find killing to be acceptable or unacceptable?
... I suppose it would depend on who or what I had to kill. I... do kill demons, though I try to only kill those that are actively attacking me or others. Killing for sport is... cruel. Too cruel, I think.

As for killing another human being... I suppose it would depend on what they'd done. I doubt I could, though. I... really doubt it.

46. In your opinion, what is the most evil thing any human being could do?
I'm... I guess my answer would change day to day, but probably... betrayal.

47. Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love?
... I'm not sure.

48. What do you believe makes a successful life?
Do what makes you happy, without hurting other people if at all possible.

49. How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings (i.e. do you hide your true self from others, and in what way)?
I'd... like to think that I'm open, but there's some things that I don't really like sharing with other people.

I'd like to hope not, but... I probably do.

Betray another person, especially a friend.

My family. My friends. ... If push came to shove, I'd... die for someone I didn't know, but I'd hope I wouldn't have to...

Part 5: Relationships With Others

53. In general, how do you treat others (politely, rudely, by keeping them at a distance, etc.)? Does your treatment of them change depending on how well you know them, and if so, how?
I try to treat others politely, sometimes even formally, until I get to know them. Then I tend to loosen up a bit more with them... sometimes I'm told that I'm still a bit too formal with people.

54. Who is the most important person in your life, and why?
... It's difficult to pick just one. My sister, my friends, my parents...

55. Who is the person you respect the most, and why?
... Father, actually. I admire him. He's calm, respectful, handles situations well... I respect a lot of people, but he's the one that I admire most, I think.

56. Who are your friends? Do you have a best friend? Describe these people.
Yue, Colme, Izumi, Glenn, Odette, Rokuha... Yue's my sister, I described her before. Colme's a friend I met on a dungeon run... he's probably one of my closest friends. He's kind, and strong. Izumi and Rokuha are in my clan - Izumi is active in the Messian church, though she's still respectful of those who aren't Messian. Rokuha is Yue's boyfriend... he likes teasing me a lot, but I know he means well. Glenn is Colme's girlfriend, she's... she actually scares me a bit, since I don't really know a lot about her, but she's reliable. Odette is Colme's mother... I think. I'm not really sure what their relationship actually is - if they're actually relatives or not... it doesn't matter, though. Odette is... ah, she can be scary at times? But I think she's kind at heart. ... Perhaps very deep down, but.

57. Do you have a spouse or significant other? If so, describe this person.
... Not really, no.

58. Have you ever been in love? If so, describe what happened.
I'm not sure.

59. What do you look for in a potential lover?
Honest, kind, capable of taking care of themselves... having healing skills wouldn't hurt, actually, since I'm terrible at them. And... male, yes. I'm not interested in dating women.

60. How close are you to your family?
Pretty close. I'm closer to Yue than Father or Dad, but I'm probably closer to Father than Dad. ... Though Dad and I can be close sometimes.

61. Have you started your own family? If so, describe them. If not, do you want to? Why or why not?
I haven't. I... it would be nice, but I would probably give up being a Demon Buster if we had children. I... don't want to put anyone through the pain of losing a parent sooner than they have to. I know my parents kept working, but... ah, I don't know. It's a difficult question.

62. Who would you turn to if you were in desperate need of help?
My family. My friends.

63. Do you trust anyone to protect you? Who, and why?
Yue. Colme. Dad and Father. ... I would say Odette or Glenn but they'd probably laugh at me. ... Though they might do it, I don't know.

64. If you died or went missing, who would miss you?
...... Ah.

I'd hope that at least Yue would miss me, and my parents. Colme... he's been through enough already, I'm not sure that I want to add to it by having him miss me when I die...

I'm not sure. Something about Setsu unnerves me, though...

66. Do you tend to argue with people, or avoid conflict?
I try to avoid conflict with other people if possible.

If by "social" you mean "a party of DBs", then... I can? I'm not terribly experienced, though, and there's a difference between knowing what plan to do and... actually being able to follow it.

68. Do you like interacting with large groups of people? Why or why not?
Not particularly, but I can tolerate it.

... Not particularly, no.

Part 6: Likes And Dislikes

70. What is/are your favorite hobbies and pastimes?
Reading.

Ah... I'm not sure.

I don't really have one? Fried food is tasty, but I try not to eat it often.

I like reading non-fiction. Failing that... ah, I guess... does mythology count as fiction? I suppose not entirely... hm... I suppose maybe... fantasy? I guess. I don't read it often.

75. What is your idea of good entertainment (consider music, movies, art, etc.)?
Actually... just hanging around with my friends.

76. Do you smoke, drink, or use drugs? If so, why? Do you want to quit?
No.

77. How do you spend a typical Saturday night?
There's no real difference in the days of the week for me. On any given night I could be training, running a dungeon, doing a quest or a mission, or relaxing. It depends if someone needs me to do something or how restless I am.

78. What makes you laugh?
Ah... my friends?

79. What, if anything, shocks or offends you?
... How cruel some people can be.

80. What would you do if you had insomnia and had to find something to do to amuse yourself?
Probably train.

81. How do you deal with stress?
I try to ignore it... not the best solution, I know. And it makes nightmares worse sometimes... but I don't want to trouble other people.

82. Are you spontaneous, or do you always need to have a plan?
I like having a plan... though I've been known to chase after a demon I've been hunting at the drop of a hat and forget what I was doing.

83. What are your pet peeves?
... Close-minded people? ... Typical answer, I know.

Part 7: Self Images And Etc.

84. Describe the routine of a normal day for you. How do you feel when this routine is disrupted?
Get up, check to make sure I have supplies, get them if I don't, and get something to eat. Check to see if my demons have anything they want me to do. Check for other missions or quests I have open. Train a little, maybe run through Suginami Bronze or Celu Bronze. Stop to sell off extra things I've picked up. Usually someone will be around by then, and I'll help them with a quest or we'll go run a dungeon. After that... I tend to run dungeons until I'm exhausted and ready to sleep. My 'days' aren't always days, either. I've been known to get up and start my routine in the middle of the night, too.

85. What is your greatest strength as a person?
... I'm reliable? I don't know.

86. What is your greatest weakness?
... I tend to repress things, I suppose?

87. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
... I'm not sure I would? Wouldn't that change who I am? I'd like to become stronger, though... physically, mentally, emotionally, so I can protect the people I care about. Does that count?

Introverted.

... I try to keep things organized, but somehow they always end up turning into a mess.

I suppose? I don't dislike myself...

... I never really intended on being a Demon Buster. Yue had already been active for a bit, and I was fine with not being a Demon Buster. Something... always felt missing, though. I liked working with demons, but I didn't think that I would really make a decent DB. But... I looked at continuing my schooling and I somehow couldn't really picture myself doing that at the moment. I thought that at least trying the DB training would be worth a shot.

... And I sort of fell into the job that way, I suppose. I like helping people, and demons. I don't really have a good story connected to it. Sorry if you were expecting one? And I don't mind telling people this reason, really.

93. What goal do you most want to accomplish in your lifetime?
... To help bring people and demons closer together to live peacefully? ... I know that sounds stupid.

94. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
... Hopefully alive and continuing to help people and demons?

95. If you could choose, how would you want to die?
Protecting the people and demons I care about most.

96. If you knew you were going to die in 24 hours, name three things you would do in the time you had left.
1) Visit Arcadia and see the ocean for the last time.

Helping people. Failing that, for being honest and loyal?
